My wife's 2003 Discovery's service light came on 2 weeks ago. We replaced the plug wires and a belt at the advice of the dealership. The service light returned two days later. When my wife took it back in the dealer couldn't figure out the issue. But called a week later and said the car had a coolant leak in the engine block and would need a new engine. Warrenty service has approved a new engine but only at what the car is worth which they say is roughly $9000. It would cost $2500-$3000 out of our pocket. We're trying to figure out what to do? Or anyother options. Any advice would be most appreciated.
