2008 TL starting issue

I have a 2008 TL NAVI. When the engine is either completely cold or completely warm it starts fine. However, if, after a cold start, I drive it a minute or two and shut if off, it won't restart - at least for 15-30 minutes. It's as though it has a dead battery. Anyone else had this experience - the dealer hadn't heard of it and has had my car now for 2 days trying to replicate this condition.
