I have a 2000 Alero 3.4 V6 with 150,000 miles on it. I understand that it'll run colder in the winter, but any time it gets below 20 degrees, the engine barely warms up past the first tick mark on the gauge. Could this be a thermostat problem or something else? Thanks for the help.

Could be. Are you highway driving or stop and go mostly? Also, are the cooling fans running when they shouldn't be (most likely they shouldn't be on at all in those conditions)?

Thanks for the reply- I drive mostly stop and go, and I never hear the cooling fans.
