Comparison Test: 2009 Nissan 370Z vs. 2008 BMW 135i - The BMW 135i wasn't napping, though. On its second and fifth braking attempts, the Bavarian repeated silent and controlled stops from 60 mph of 108 feet. The Z-car has an advantage here in tire choice, but we also found that the BMW brake system makes it a little easier to jump on the pedal and still get response that is more linear and easier to modulate. | I am somewhat surprised that Edmunds would choose the boy racer Nissan 370Z over the overall refinement and capability of the BMW 135i. Obviously strong opinions about the car's looks won out! | |

The 370Z may be better and cooler than the skimpy little 1-series, but honestly the 3-series just dominates the 370Z AND the G37. Had this been a 335i vs the 370Z, i think it would have been a different result

| the new Z is an undoubted improvement and im a big believer in you get what u pay for. but the latest Z isnt even remotely affordable to the majority that lust after it. And it is sinfully ugly. | |

As someone pointed out above they said the sports package for the BMW doesnt have performance tires or wheels, which it does, the sport package also gives a lower ride hight due to a sportier suspension and the seats are so much better than the normal ones. I personally don't like the 370z, it looks like a big red jacuzzi like the heart shapped ones you see in cheap hotels in the movies. I think that edmunds could have used a new 135i with the sport package and had a better opinion of it, I mean they got a sports package for the Z why not for the 135i. Just like with the new skyline, people will start to give this car the real review it deserves when the new model syndrome wears off and their backs hurt from the ride. And yes I have driven both of these cars. |

The back seats definitely fit much more than a gym bag and they definitely are good for more than a "kid 2 yrs max." The rear leg room on the 135i is only 1" less than those on the 335i. I know because I made sure when deciding between the two, that the seats would be adequate, if not comfortable. I made the salesman sit in the back with me and although I'm only 5'6" he was 6'3'. We fit fine, and were not shoulder to shoulder. Since then, on various occasions, I've had friends ranging from 5'6" to 6'1" in the back seat, or teenagers 12 and 13, or my seven year old daughter and one of her friends, both in car seats. By the way, my 135i is a convertible. The back seats on the coupe are even roomier. I had to set the record straight. The back seats you are referring to must be the ones on the Porsche Carrera or the Lexus SC470, not on the BMW 135i.

But I don't care about back seats at all, I don't use it at all, I need it for lower insurance premium only |
