2002 Tahoe security/battery light flashing, won't start

My low beam headlights started going out, I pulled apart the steering column and found a burnt wire at the connector to the dimmer control. I pulled the connector, repaired wire and reinstalled. When I tried to test I had no light. I noticed the security light would flash four times then the battery light would come on for 10 seconds, then back to the security light. Replying to: raden1 (Dec 14, 2008 7:32 am) I just installed a new turn signal lever today and got it all put back together, tested all lever functions and they worked. Went to start it to pull it out of the garage and it will not start. I have no headlights or interior dome lights either, but all other lights work. I also have the same battery/security message as well. What did you figure out with your problem? They sound identical.
