I have installed a fiber glass hood on my Honda S2000 but due to florida sun and oxidatio it has started getting white marks. whenever I apply polish they go away for couple of days and come back again. What can I use to protect my hood and get rid of these marks. Any input will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Fitted a new set of pads to NSR and disconnected the handbrake. Now reconnected it and the light won't go out on the dash. I think the brake is still partially on when I drive due to the smell. Bye bye new pads!
Anyone know the correct procedure for fitting the handbrake back up without this happening?

Advice on Dent Repair; Door & Front Fender by jkgreer2

My neighbor decided to do some backing without looking and dented my driver's side door near/at front portion (my S2000 was parked). Two estimators have agreed to replace outer door 'skin' which is crimp-fitted to door assembly. The rear portion of left front fender panel near door has small depression. Both estimators have estimated to R&R with 'pulling' dent out, epoxy & repaint, but neither will agree to replace complete portion of left front fender panel. Is this logical, or just two car repair estimators only writing what they expect neighbor's insurance co. to pay for? Obviously, I need to park a wide distance from neighbor (driveway gate/fence in progress). Advice is appreciated. Have a restful 4th of July weekend.

It's been a while since you wrote and have likely resolved this. Anyway, that front fender as I recall is a $500 part. You didn't say what year your S was, but if it's a newer car and/ or in otherwise excellent condition, you should have some leverage to demand new fender -- seeing that your neighbor was at fault, and likely his/ her insurer is paying for the the repair. Of course, they do't want to as covering claims as cheaply as possible is what insrance companies are all about. Still, if you squeak loud enough you might get what you want. You should be able to take it to any shop of YOUR choice, If you pick one with a rep for meticulous work, they might be more apt to go to bat for you with the insurance comapny.
