We purchased a 2010 Touareg w/out DVD/Nav system. So, our dealer agreed to install a cord where we could plug in our ipod or MP3 player. They tried....and tried...even emailed VW for instructions how to install this and did not succeed. Since that day (Sept. 3) the radio will just "turn off". They have tried numerous times to fix this to no avail. At times, I can select another radio station or turn the vehicle off, then on, and the radio will play again. So, we purchased and had installed a Kenwood radio w/blue tooth, ipod connector. Now, it is turning off. The professional that installed the Kenwood said if we continue to have problems, ask VW to check the CAN system.I would be very grateful for any advise or assistance!
