There you go again....condemning an entire SYSTEM just because you THINK you found one mistake in the system.
 
Anyway, my friend has a 2009 Prius - I'll go measure the headroom and report back.

Just another anecdote. I just measured my Sequoia headroom. It is 38.5" from the middle of the seat to the sunroof. I have 5" of clearance for my head. That is with the seat adjusted as low as it will go. They list it as 40.4". My head touched the headliner on the Accord Hybrid that was supposed to be 40+". Sit in the car to is the only good test.
