IIRC, what I had found yesterday in the Milwaukee area was 4 manuals of 7 total at Hall VW 2 manuals of 7 total at Ernie Von Schledorn VW 1 automatic at Concours VW 11 manuals of 20 total at Boucher VW I did not note how many 4 doors and 2 doors there were, but since the manuals are all 2 doors, must be something like 75% manuals among those.

The Hondas (except the fit) have that 2 tiered dashboard that looks like something out of a Buck Rogers movie. I don't like it at all. The Fit can't get out of it's own way. It rides like an old truck (lots of bouncing). I do like the "feel" of the VW the best. The M3 is right behind it. Very nice car. The Touring is in 3rd. Has more of a European ride and lots of space. I definitely prefer the hatchback\wagon configuration. Now, if Hyundai would only bring that 1.6L diesel to the states. I would love to look at the Civic hatchback with the 2.2L diesel (only in Europe...grrr). I'm trying to hold out for the Mk VI Golf\Rabbit with the 2.0 diesel. Regarding the video...the last comment is the dumbest thing I've ever heard....it's a compact you'll want based on desirability and not price alone? Isn't it usually based on price and affordability? I guess there are enough idiots out there willing to dish out well over $500/month for a low budget hatchback like this one and the GTI. Like it or not, the 2010 Mazda 3's new look gives the car a more distinctive presence, making it look sportier. "distinctive" - yes. "sportier" - no, this is not sporty, it's smiley and I don't mean that in a good way.
