I guess with the new ownership they T&C has really slipped in reliability. Not that they ever had a great reputation, but our '03 has been great. Just one trip to the dealer for a bushing covered under warrenty.

We did get the 7/70 they were offering then, were at 5 1/2 years and 62k miles, but it has been so good so far I am not to worried about it implodoing.

It makes me a little sad that Chrysler is running away with the nominations. At one point they were at least very sytlish cars if not the most reliable.

It is kind of sad. Maybe it's because it was the car I learned to drive on, and learned to fix, and was the first car I had to take care of on my own, but my '66 Newport is one I woldn't mind having back. Yes, newer cars are "better" but that Newport was great.

Well, Grandma Schwartz jumped in and made the decision for the Turkey of the Year

A Chrysler product would not have surprised me, but the Pacifica got it last year and the domestics have been getting enough abuse lately

Chrysler minivans... by andre1969

one thing that disappointed me with the latest crop of minivans was the third row seat. Now in the past, one big advantage of a minivan over an SUV or a regular station wagon was a third row that was uncompromised. While most third rows were usually best left for children and contortionists, minivans would usually at least give you a third row that was as comfortable as the second row. So when a minivan claimed seating for 7 or 8, you knew it was 7 or 8 adults, rather than 4-5 adults and 2-3 children or circus dwarves. Not so with the latest Caravan/T&C. Their third rows feel like afterthoughts to me. Thinly padded, short cushions mounted low on the floor, forcing you into a bit of a fetal position.

As slab-sided as the Caravan/T&C are, I thought that would make them feel roomier inside, too, but they just felt small to me. The main reason GM couldn't compete in the minivan segment was because the Venture and its clones were too narrow inside, cutting down on their versatility. But I swear, that same affliction hit the Caravan/T&C

Oh, no! Count me i on the cookies.

I get that with the new minivans though I have to say even a short person such as myself has issues with getting into the third seat. It may be fine once you are there but I only bend in so many ways...

I don't like the look of the current Chrysler vans - at least not compared to the last generation. With any luck I'm on my last van anyway...

Closest I ever came to a van was my 1986 Nissan Stanza "wagon" although I'm not exactly sure how I'd classify it now

Many years back my wife got stuck at work in a two foot snowstorm. She's an RN and of course at work no matter what the weather. Once they had someone to take over for her the word was she could find a ride with someone with a 4WD vehicle or sleep there at the hospital and wait for a guard in one of the hospital's 4WD security vehicles. Her friend says "I have 4WD!" It was that very Stanza wagon. I didn't find that part out until she was home. She obviously did make it.

There's no reason at all that the other worthy candidates couldn't be left in the comment section of Ask Dub Schwartz! to be recorded for posterity
