Well using the same rating system Edmunds rates Aveo as Good so it would finish higher than the Suzuki. And sales were never good for the little zook. So the Suzuki has to be in the running.
The Aveo is utter crap, have you driven one? It's not only ugly but uncomfortable and check out the forums for it's "wonderful reliability" I guess it's got some VW in it's genes now.
The Suzuki does Bite but it's not as bad as the Aveo. It's tolerable to ride in an SX4. The Aveo is not.
Also I saw a Prius parked next to a Pontiac Aztek. Same vehicle but taller. My wife thought it was a Prius SUV!
The SX4 hatch is quirky but not ugly. The Aveo has 4 paws and a tail and bays at the moon. For reliability Land Rover is at the bottom but some of then do look good for SUV's.

Ugly, maybe, but my Mom seems to have no problem with her Aveo.

If a Toyota Camry was the only alternative, I think I'd rather take a SEPTA bus.

The SX4 and Reno are worlds apart. The Reno is a rebadged Daewoo something-or-other, designed many years ago and built to be cheap. Warranty costs are high. The SX4 is actually designed and built by Suzuki, which still counts for something: it has a better engine, better materials, and I think the looks are kinda cute, although I wouldn't deny the quirky description if you are sticking to it.

'57 DeSoto was a beautiful looking car, probably the best looking of those next to the Chrysler 300. If Detroit still had stylists like Virgil Exner and Bill Mitchell, they'd probably move more metal.

I think that is so true what you said. So many people will jump on the American car companies so quickly, but when it comes to the beloved Toyota or Honda, it's like sacred ground. Has anyone seen the Toyota Yaris, now that car is horrible looking. It looks like it was rear ended by something a lot bigger.

Well, while we are jumping on Toyota , can we throw the FJ Cruiser into the mix. Bad visibility, harsh ride, terrible gas mileage and a waste of interior space. Kinda the Hummer of Japan.

Title of the thread was "worst car" not worst looking or ugliest. My opinion is: based on pre-sale hype and how poorly it fit it's perceived niche and almost universally negative reviews from any journalist who drove the car for more than a day;the winner IS "THE DUMB",oops pardon me,I meant to say "THE SMART CAR".
Short of being,in fact "short", the car comes up short in every objective category you judge a car on.and "cute" don't count!

The Hummer of Japan...that's a good one. The FJ is just about as pointless. It's more than just physically ugly, it's an ugly conception.
