The Chevy Aveo, what a truly monumental piece of crap. It even gets poor fuel economy!
Of all the small cars out there it truly stands out as the worst value. So many cars are mediocre but the Aveo is clearly only 1 step away from a Yugo.

New Chrysler's in a runaway for worst! by wjtinatl

Where to start...

Caliber, what a joke! No wonder the domestics need a bailout. How can you replace the Neon with a car that offers worse performance, mileage and interior quality wrapped in a package that should say LEGO on it.

Sebring, totally undistingushed and makes the Malibu and Fusion look like standouts. Avenger looks decent in R/T trim but interior again is horrible and it drives like a tank

Minivans, Again, undistinguished outside, terrible materials and fit inside and poor reliability as a bonus. Frankly the previous generation doesn't seem bad in comparison. 2008 Caravan SXT's with 25000 miles are selling for 40% of their sticker price. Honda and Toyota don't have anything to sweat.

Journey (2009 contender), Going up against Acadia/Outlook/Traverse, Flex, Highlander, Murano, etc. Average performance, an interior from the early 90's and clunky styling and driving dynamics.

How can the company that brought the 300/Charger/Magnum to market lose inspiration so quickly? Even the new Jeeps are underwhelming, with exception of the franchise Wrangler. At least the new RAM looks like a decent piece although the jury is out on the new rear suspension.

Worst looking... by madpistol

The absolute worst looking is the new Ford Focus Coupe. It looks like it would belong in the late 80's/early 90's of Ford cars... It is absolutely hideous!!!!

I'm voting for the Avenger/Sebring for the overall worst car though... At least the Focus drives well. The Avenger/Sebring just doesn't seem to do anything well.

Jeep Compass-Patriot by joshuag

I think two of the worst cars have to be the Jeep Patriot and Compass combo. Why would any Jeep buyer want a 4 cyl suv based on a Dodge Caliber platform. I think they should keep a Jeep a Jeep. It needs to be 4 wheel drive and able to climb rocks and the Patriot Compass combo do not even come close to that.

I hate to tell you, but there are many cars out there that make the Focus coupe look pretty. Hmmm, let's start with the Toyota Camry. This car gets a free pass because of the T badge on it. Hideous is too kind. If that thing had a Chrysler badge, you people would be all over it. Lexus RX anyone?? A styling disaster to say the least. And the new one coming out isn't much better. Toyota Highlander is another one. I wouldn't be caught dead in it. A rolling toaster oven it is. That's not to say Toyota can't come up with a looker every so often. The IS is a hot car.

P.S. - Don't forget about the BMW 6 series. PUKE from every angle.

Now, see, this is where ugly is in the eye of the beholder. I don't see the Camry as hideous - just extremely unattractive.....

The Focus coupe is pretty bad.

Only Chrysler could replace the Neon with something worse.

"worst car" honors can't be based ONLY on looks. It has to be the worst package overall...

My worst two by roadburner

...that I've actually driven were the Aveo and the Chrysler Aspen; poor to mediocre by every objective measure.
And a big "Thumbs Down" to Ford for their "New" Focus. Why slap hideous styling on an aging platform when they could have brought over the world class European Focus? As I said in another thread, Ford is lucky that fuel prices spiked, otherwise they couldn't move those steaming piles out of the showroom without large quantities of plastic explosives...

That's why the Chevy Aveo gets my vote. It's ugly and unreliable. Kind of like the New Chevy Vega!
