I hate to see this game go, but when it comes back I'm sure it will be even better. What are all of us CSX addicts supposed to do at work now? I wish the NYSE would give me a Million to start with...

I'm sure you hate to see it go -- now that you are leading!

I'm curious, how many people you got involved into playing this game? If you can't give the numbers, was it what you anticipated originally?

We actually had a good sign up total -- more than 7,000 users! But "active", all-the-time type players are significantly fewer. There were people who really loved the competition and the stock market aspect of the game, and many more who didn't understand it because it wasn't a true prediction model. That's one of the reasons we were analyzing how to improve it for a possible Version 2.0.

I learned that if I wanted to be competitive I had to disregard the prediction model aspect of the game. It's more like a day trading sim. Lots of fun for top 10 trying to bloody each others noses, but not terribly useful at determining market sentiment. I will miss it

I gave up on the monthly competition idea a while ago. I just couldn't keep up with you and chung. Instead I decided to play for the long term predictions and go for the overall lead. I was actually hoping someone would catch up to me so that I could at least have some competition. As there is no longer any reason for me to maintain wealth, I intend to have fun with December. I want to see just how far I can push a few stocks. I've always wondered what it would take to push a stock to $100 a share. I should have roughly $130M to play with so it will be an interesting month.

You beat me to a lot of the overpriced stocks after the first retirement was cashed out. I've been lining up long term positions since then and hit a few IPO's along the way. My pockets aren't as deep as yours, but I was thinking the same thing. Let's make December CSX look like April CSX. Maybe we can get chung to play along even though he can't win.

It's interesting the first IPO's, after the announcement the game would end, have increased in value as much as they have. No downward pressure because the stock will never retire?
