Just to ease the tension, YOU ARE NOT ALONE! I also replaced my instrument cluster in my 03 EXT as did my best friend who has an 05. I think Chevy needs to do some explaining ............... one instrument cluster too many!

2003 Chevy Trailblazer Speedomoter by xx2slik4uxx

I also have a 2003 chevy Trailblazer LTZ. I have only had it for 8 months and it has been one thing after another. I had only had it 1 week and the rear end went. I had to fight them to fix it under my warranty, but they finally did. Now my speedomoter is acting up. It (like many others) is acting as though 70 or even 120 is the 0. Sometimes it doesn't work at all. I ahve contacted Chevy about this and they said they will not fix it because my original factory warrany is up. They have recalled the speedomoter cluster's on Tahoe, Avalanche, and a few others also, but will not recall the Trailblazer. I have wriiten to the Better Business Bureau as advised by my dealership. I would like to advise anyone who is having this problem or knows anyone having this problem to also write to their BBB. The more of us that write the better our chances of getting it recalled. Please everyone take a minute to do this. Thank you.

The alt light would glow on my 2003 TB. Took it to the dealer several times to have it checked out. Everything always checked out OK. After bringing it in for the 3rd time they replaced the cluster and everything is fine.

Just to let everyone here know... I have also posted the same problem with my 2003 TB EXT LT.... $453.26 to repair at my dealer... Of course GM was not willing to offer any assistance. There is a more recent post open regarding the speedometer that has more people and is the same issue.
