Hi, Has anyone bought the S model (automatic) with the new $1750 rebate? If so, what did you pay, including destination but NOT including state taxes and fees (since they vary). Particularly interested in Massachusetts. Thanks SG |

After doing some competitor shopping with competitor dealerships got an offer for a base model automatic transmission, 4 door with cruise control for 14,300 Out the door. This includes sales tax in Georgia 7%, 21$ registration fee and some 595$ dollar fee that I guess all dealers have to pay in this state. I think it's legit since other dealers said they had the same fee. This price also includes the 1000 off incentive rebate and a 400 off rebate for being a recent graduating student. Good deal? |

Replying to: tokarzjf (Apr 06, 2009 7:07 pm) Went back next day and dealer actually realized student loan was for 1000 instead of 400 so ended up getting car for 13.7k OTD ; Also, after getting the shakedown from there loan guy on all the things we "needed" ended up getting 7 year 100k warranty for $1200 more. Amazing how long guy acted like he couldnt sell me just extended warranty and initially said it was like $2500. Is this good since factory is 3 year 36k? Figured 4 more years at $300 a year would be worth it. Summary I would highly recommend World Toyota in Atlanta. Just be careful of there loan and warranty guy. He will try to make you pay rediculious amounts for things you dont need. Basically, was trying to convince us how unreliable corolla's are after just being sold the car so he could get us to buy there crap.

Replying to: tokarzjf (Apr 07, 2009 7:58 pm) The dealer didn't have any models with VSC. And he kept on recommending window etching which would be additional $199. Is there room for getting additional options, warranty extension and/or service packages?

The dealership I buy from is awesome. The sales guys straight up "whisper" to you that the next step is the finance guy. His function is to process the loan or pay out AND get you to add all those add on fees that are completely unnecessary. They recommend holding your ground and saying no unless it's something you want. Then the finance guy offers you 3 packages. Ridiculous, more ridiculous and outrageous. Not even giving you the option of nothing. SO I just tell him I want nothing and he say "So the ridiculous plan then?". I say "No. The nothing plan and the price the sales guy told me". They get paid based on this or at least some portion. It's wrong IMO for a company to pay someone to buy these products, but I think a commissioned sales staff is wrong anyways. So there's my experience. Just say NO! It's a Toyota. How often do you hear about a Corolla needing service before 100,000 miles? I've had 5 and no problems with any of them personally.
