I've been looking for a week and I haven't even been offered below $15,000 without TTL + fees, including the $1500 rebate! Do you think I'm being taken for a ride? Should I just ask for $15,000 OTD and see what they say?
I have emailed a few salesmen and asked what they thought about the 2010 MSRP being the same as the 2009...none of them have responded...

Hi all,
I bought a 2009 Corolla LE on Monday. It's an automatic with cruise control and remote keyless options (pretty common configuration, MSRP 18,314). I bought from Toyota of Huntington Beach (Minh and Scott in the internet department were pleasant and did not play any games). OTD price was $16,412 (taxes were paid on 16.3K, so it was a bit under 15K after the 1500 cash back). I live in LA county, so the tax rate is 8.25%. The last $300 was the hardest - a number of dealers would offer the car at 16.7-16.8K OTD.

That's actually one of the dealerships I'm looking at, and I've been corresponding with Minh too. Good to know he's a great guy. I also live in LA County so this was like a trial sale for me, lol. I was quoted $15,535 (including $1500 cash back but not TTL/fees), but then again the model I wanted has a power sunroof in addition to cruise control & remote keyless entry.
Just to clarify: when people say OTD are they including TTL or not? I can't really tell...

This is even a better deal than I got. There must be a lot of room for negotiation in FL. Good job!

The drain and refill is overkill. Every 40K at least till 80K is good enough. After that 30K is a good interval. Use regular oil as specified in the manual every 4K, otherwise you car gets used to the premium oil.

A dealer in Tampa is offering to sell me a Corolla S with sunroof, sport package, carpet floor mats, satellite radio, and window tinting for $19,200 OTD. Is this a good deal?

I just purchased a LE w/cruise, remote door locks, mats and the heated mirror pkg,,,pretty standard LE. MSRP 18,314. I paid 13,850 plus doc fees of 55. Your tax and Lic will vary from county to county. This was an ad in the local paper, but they gave us the choice of color, as long as the MSRP was 18,314. Toyota of San Diego was the dealer, Van was the "Internet sales person". No/low pressure through the deal.
I've been looking in the SD area and the best deal had been 14,995.
Note: all these prices reflect the 1500 rebate being used against the price.

Finally got my car! I was wrong about the price before, it ended up being approx $16,800 OTD. This was for a 2009 Corolla LE CK CL EM KE LE SR CF, with body moulding on the doors and a rear spoiler. I bought from Minh Toyota of Huntington Beach, he is an internet/fleet manager there. I would highly recommend dealing with him, you will get straight answers unlike some other internet salesmen who don't want to give you an actual price quote until you come in, and then spend 10 minutes telling you all the benefits of leasing and none of the drawbacks (yearly mileage cap, can't modify car, etc).
By the way, Toyota is currently offering $400 instant cash rebate for college grads! (Must have graduated in the last two years.) All the salesmen are keeping this one quiet, I found out through a friend.

Sounds like you got a great deal. Enjoy your new car in good health. I can't wait to get my new Corolla. But I have to wait until I can settle with an insurance company. Some Yellow Cab driver caused another car to smash into the rear end of my '05 Camry while it was parked outside a restaurant. Caused $7200 - $9300 in damages and bent the frame. The insurance wants to repair the Camry instead of totalling it.
