Buick Lucerne CXS: Regular vs Premium Gas by johnnyblaze3

Are there any CXS owners out there that are running regular gas (87 octane) instead of premium ? If so, are you noticing any differences in the way your vehicle is running? I'm in the market for a new used car, and i have narrowed my choices to the Lucerne CXS and a Maxima. Thank you.

My wife uses 87 octane and the performance is OK. City MPG is 16 - 17. That being said, MPG and performance may improve using 89 or 91 octane. Premium is "recommended but not required" according to GM.
