2009 Edmunds' Inside Line Editors' Most Wanted Awards - Just as it was last year, our selection process is extremely simple. There's only one real rule: Inside Line must have tested the car or truck by November 1. (more)

This is a pretty silly list of automobiles. I guess for fantasy land stuff, yeah, it's okay. But with the terrible economy having eroded the personal wealth of many, $200,000 German supercars are going to be a thing of the past. Time to get with the times and feature practical (the minivan was the only practical car on the list), fuel efficient (V8 and V12 engines don't qualify as fuel efficient), and inexpensive (anything more than $30K does not qualify as inexpensive). I know it may not be as sexy and fun to rate Honda Civic's, Hyundai Elantra's, and Mazda 3's but we're living in a new world now, and fun is going to give away to practical and affordable. The trick is to find cars that are fun to drive and meet those requirements. That takes more work, both from the manufactures and from the magazine editors who would rather test and write about Ferrari's, BMW's, and Benze's all day long.
