2009 Edmunds' Inside Line Editors' Most Wanted Awards - Just as it was last year, our selection process is extremely simple. There's only one real rule: Inside Line must have tested the car or truck by November 1. (more)
Interesting. But, for the rest of us that are looking for a sub-$30K (heck, even 25K) new car that is fuel efficient, practical, and still fun, I'd be curious to know what the IL editors would unanimously pick.

| I have to agree with the styling-- it's not trying to be a copycat. I also like the way it's described as "bending the pavement to its will." An impressive car at a very impressive price. | |

|
| What happended to the Flex - all the benefits of an Odyssey, better driving performance and a style that does not make you look like you have given up on life? | |
| It would appear you are pandering to the readers of GQ, Flying, & Ocean Yachts. | |
| I love this car. I do, and would buy a convert. in a second if the money wasnt so tight. So, do I invest in a EOS? Dunno. If you think about it, the MiniS convert is the closest to the original 2002 without a top. 25K. Not bad. | |

The numbered days of the large displacement internal combustion engine powering personal transport vehicles are numbered. The American consumer's obsession with large HP has created an vacuum in the U.S. economy. Amazingly, while even Bob Lutz, the father of the Dodge Viper, seems to have embraced the future, the editors at Edmunds are clinging to the past much the way a child clings to it's mother's apron before that first day of school. NOT ONE SINGLE FUEL EFFICIENT car on your most wanted list??? Time to let go of Mom's apron.

So by your definition interest in and analysis of the genuine future of the automotive technology does not fall under "auto enthusiasm". What does it fall under at Edmunds. Why then does Inside Line bother testing hybrids, and diesels and plug-ins? Blogging does not = news analysis
