I imagine that if more midwesterners had purchased Subarus, then they wouldn't have closed dealerships.

Subaru dealers seem to be more concentrated in the mountains and snow belt. The Subaru AWD works very well in the snow. Especially when an area gets more than a few inches a year. In your case, where you are is not considered to be in a snow belt. If you want a Subaru badly enough, you'll get one even though the closest dealer is a bit of a drive.

The Honda CRV is a great vehicle. But its AWD doesn't compare to the subaru's AWD, IMHO.

Gosh, in New England you can't throw a rock and not hit a dealer. It's ridiculous. It seems like every exit has one in CT on I-95.

Subaru is definitely not well dispersed when it comes to dealers. They tend to be in the snow belt.

How many Subaru centers do you have these days?

One opened in Norman OK in conjuction with a Hyundai dealership but it has apparently lost Subaru since. One in Midwest City with a Chevy dealer, one in Edmond and one that I know of in Tulsa. Not many out here in the mid central south, Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma. Love the Outback but nearest dealer would be 25 miles and once you are out of OKC and Tulsa area you are out of luck. Too bad, nice cars----I bought an 80 model in Shawnee many years ago but that dealership is gone also. I have complained to Subarau about this and we now have three (that I know of) state wide instead of two----progress~
