Hi, I am planning to test drive the Venza V6 tonight. I live in Edison NJ and I am interested to know if any one bought a Venza from nearby dealers and the final price you paid ? I can use it as a bargain if you can give me the dealership details. Thank you in advance. Right now I am leaning towards FWD 3.5L 6cyl 6A with the following options LS,CQ,EJ. The invoice price is coming for around 28,956 and TMV is around 29,815. Which price I should start my bargain ? Last time I am in the market for car is in 2000. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Replying to: sg1974 (Jun 09, 2009 12:43 pm) I can't tell you anything about NJ dealers, but you could use www.fitzmall.com (in Gaithersburg, MD) to find their online prices and use that for bargaining. They are currently offering similar Venzas for $200-$300 BELOW invoice. If your local dealer won't get close to the fitzmall price, it's only a 3½ hour drive to Maryland. You can pick up your new Venza and visit Washington DC while you are in the area. Then you'll have a nice drive back up I-95 in your new car. Good luck. MD

So I would get a definitive contract in writing, including pricing, VIN number, etc. before traveling to fitzmall or any other dealer. I think if you actually speak to the salesperson and develop somewhat of a relationship with them, they are not likely to play games with you. I did a search on this forum and found several folks used fitzmall for their Venza purchase: their usernames are "jimmy2x" "sealbeach_la" and "prasadperi." Maybe they can give you some direct advice. I would have purchased my Venza from fitzmall, but they didn't have my exact car (color and options) in stock and another dealer did and they also met the fitzmall price. MD

There was no BS (except for agreeing that I would listen to the extended warranty, rust, dust, mop & glo stuff for a max of 10 minutes). They had exactly the vehicle that I wanted and it was precisely as advertised. I saved about $1700 over the best price I could get in the Bucks County area including the one-way rental to MD. BTW, I gave them a deposit via VISA over the phone (don't remember how much, but no more than $300) to avoid the car being sold out from under me. Easiest buy I ever did.
