I'm getting this knocking and creaking sound from the front end of my 05 Malibu sedan. I took it to the dealer and they replaced teh steering column, thinking that that fix it. But that wasn't the problem. It has nothing to do with turning. It starts doing it about 30 minutes into my drive and normally when I reach bumper to bumper highway traffic. It starts slowly. A slight clunk or knock. It gets worse the longer I drive. I only hear it at slow speeds. I don't feel anything. By the time I get to work after driving for about 60 mins, mostly in traffic, it is very noticeable and people are looking at me. It also starts creaking a lot, noticeabley when I stop at a light and the car eases back. Any thoughts?
