We got quotes for an SEL Premium Nav RSE. Basically $10K off the MSRP but not with 0%. If I went with 0%, then it came out to around $2300 under invoice.

MSRP: $44,500
Invoice $41,233
Price: $34,500 w/o 0% - rate was 6%
Price: $38,000 w/ 0% 72 mos.

I'm probably going to go with the 0%.

Was the $38,000 Out the Door tax and everything? I an trying to see how far under the invoice I can go with the 0% for 72.

Thanks for the help!

No. Taxes and such were not included.

If you can get outside financing and walk in with a check, you should be able to get the $10K off.

Routan S for $14750 by dmiller21

I am going to look at the Routan S tomorrow. I spoke with the manager on a internet special price of 14750 after all rebates. The MSRP is 25840, the dealer has a special price of 19250 and then with the Clunker trade they show a final price of 14750. I have a clunker trade, but the trade gets 16mpg and the Routan only gets 18mpg, so that number might end up being 15750, due to only 3500 for the clunker. They are also going to give me 4.49% financing for 72 months. All sounds great, but I would love to hear from memebrs of this forum. Thanks

I got a Routan SEL w/o any extras last week. MSRP was 33890 (plus destination??? this $750 never came up and I was not billed for it). I got 3500 CFC and 7500 off. My total off MSRP was 11,000. Then, of course, tax, tag, etc. I figure the dealer still made about $2300 (between invoice and MSRP).

Rejected by tylerwku

Here is the deal. I was rejected for this offer of 30,000 with a 3,000 customer cash rebate for a price of 27,000 for a Routan SE with RSE and it had the trim 2 package and the climate package, which I could care less for also. According to Edmunds the Invoice price is 32,686, so I believe I made them a reasonable offer? I see others getting much lower than invoice than what I am asking! I am requesting the 72 months O% apr, but maybe I should not mention this until the very end. Any suggestions? I am going to try another dealership tomorrow. The dealer said that with the cash for clunkers program that they have been booming, but I don't think the Volkswagens Routans are moving that fast...

Routon SEL Clunker Deal (18 to 20 MPG) by wojo2000

Purchased today SEL bare bones, the dealer's "no haggle" offer was $4500 under List Price or $31,323-$4,500=$26,823 or about +$529 over the Edmunds fair market value price of $26,294, and at least $1000 more than the nifty deals reported by Posts 60, 68, and 81. I was OTD at $24710 with $3500 clunker deal on a 98 Grd Voyager and I had a $500 off coupon. We had fun looking at new cars for the clunker program, but with somewhat unhappy ending because the VW dealer would not give us the prices noted here. No decent financing offered at this price point. Clunkers did not save us too much, already having a Prius, decided to keep one full-size minivan.

I think your $500 coupon got you a better deal than my price. My OTD was 25150. That "list" of 31,323 is invoice, I think. The window sticker on my was def 33890. Congratulations! Now I'm feeling annoyed b/c even when I finished my deal, I knew I could've gotten him to come down more. Still, he did have to transport it to me. Oh, well.

As a side note, I believe we got the 7500 b/c there is apparently a 6000 factory to dealer incentive and a 1500 customer rebate. If I'd taken their 0% financing for up to 72 months (what a deal!), I couldn't have gotten that amount off. I had my own financing.

Hey #81 aka AbbyM - Thanks for your OTD price! I knew I had a chance to beat you on OTD because my state only has 3% sales tax, so maybe you still did a bit better. But maybe I was not so awful on my deal. We get sales tax back this year as a tax credit, am I right? BTW, I think #80's clunker deal is doable if he has a clunker at 17 MPG or less (and is what I really wanted to so myself) but you and I needed the 20 MPG SEL to qualify.

Price on Slightly used SEL Prem by lsufan1971

My local dealer has a Slightly used (16K miles) SEL Premium fully loaded RSE, Navigation, sunroof etc. I haven't been in to talk to them yet. Of course they quote the MSRP on the website of 33,950 but what would be a realistic price on this one with all of the rebates on a new?
