We have a '06 Liberty diesel 85k miles with engine light on - egr valve suspected (scan code confirmed) - local shop suggested - remove & clean before replacement. Is there a "how-to" page out there that will help me with this job. Replying to: imthomas (Oct 26, 2008 5:40 am) The valve is kind of a pain to get to. I have my EGR blocked off and a flash tuning from KermaTDI.com. This allows me to have a non-functioning EGR and not get a CEL. Talk to Charlie at KermaTDI.com if you would like to go that route. I have never removed my EGR, I have tried to disconnect it and the connector is a pain. My EGR simply has a block off plate on it so no exhaust re-enters my engine.
