#1 of 2 04 Colo gads mpg by himilecolo

I have an 04 Colo, 4x4 crew cab, auto, with tow pkg. It has 85K but runs great -engine idles and runs like brand new. I have tires properly inflated, new air filter, good driving habits (no excessive idling, not running the AC, etc.), but I can't seem to get better than about 16 mpg (with about 80% in town and 20% highway mix of driving). Any suggestions for improving? Thanks

ps: also CD player jammed (6 cd changer)--can't get cds to eject anymore (or play). Of course GM won't help. And other: discovered that NAPA brake pads and shoes don;t work too well on that model.
