Thats so cool.
The interaction between elastic and plastic deformation in the grain structure of the metals will coax the material back to original shape.
Do you think that the material will be able to bridge gaps and gashes that would accure in a car accident?
Do you know if any car companies are incorparating such technologies in concept cars?

Not yet...the testing continues just like the tech for self-cleaning clothes. The so-called Teflon Don will have a suit that literally is stain proof!

The first step is to make sure it works for most dents and scrapes. When massive deformation occurs in a major collision, it might not be possible to reform at that level of change.
