Hi, I have since three month a 08 Veracruz 13GLS configuration (in some countries kown as Limited Edition), and I'm very happy with it. But one thing bugs me, on the left lower side of the dash is a round cluster, containing two switches, according to the manual, the left one is for the front fog lights, the right one for the tail fog lights. Switching both ON, the font fogs come on, but there is nothing changing in the rear. Looking at the LED-type tail light assemblies, I don't see where the fog lights might even be installed, this cluster is full. I guess, if there are any tail fog lights, they should be in the rear bumper, like on the Santa Fe, but there are only red cat-eyes on my vehicle. Manual says "Tail fog lights (if installed)", now if they are not installed, why is the switch installed?? Thanks |

Someone on the assembly line installed a switch by accident. I am not aware of rear fog lights for the Veracruz in the United States.

Replying to: jmaulsby (Oct 15, 2008 10:17 am) However, there is more to it than meets the eye. I checked the trim level spec sheet I got while shopping for a new car and it clearly states “front and rear fog lights”. But I’ts futile to get in discussions with this reps here. My question is, are there any original rear fog lights from Hyundai for the Veracruz? Or fancy looking ones? Because the regular aftermarket pieces have a disturbing influence on the rear look of the car, and make it look ugly. After all, we have dense morning fog from November till March; just two days ago the airport was closed for hours because of it. Front fog lights are not enough. |
