When the sunroof is all the way back, it is about 5 inches from the back of the opening and the sunshade will slide back another 2 inches. It looks like it must be designed that way, since you would not be able to use the sunshade's hand grip if it slid all the way back.

I want it to slide back two more inches, to where the sunshade is.
