#1 of 2 2004 Forester trunk pop issue... sort of... by gexy1

I purchased this vehicle recently and had some extras installed including a remote start and a trunk pop. The problem is that the stock shocks/ hydralic arms or whatever they are called that hold open the rear hatch/ door aren't strong enough to open the rear hatch/ door. I am looking for these items that would have a higher psi than the stock ones or even an after market mod that can do this for me.

In other words: I want to be able to push the button on my remote and have the rear hatch/ door open all by itself with no help from me.

Can anyone help? GEXY1

I doubt struts alone could do that. With power hatches, they all use articulating arms and little motors, not pressure from the struts.

The 04 did have a light aluminum hatch, but all the tail lights and stuff are there, so it's not *that* light.
