Hello, I have a 2000 Honda V. It was overheating, so I put the car on a scanner and had no error codes. After checking the thermostat, radiator etc. and could find no problems. I decided to take the car to the local Honda dealer (used cars only). I live in Key Largo and have no other options. Anyway, they looked at the car and said that the engine is blown. Now I am no tech, but I drove the car there and it was running fine, in fact it did not overheat on the way there. Anyone have any insight? Thanks, Ben

If anyone ever added a non-Honda coolant there is a chance that the water pump has been ground down by the silicates in non-honda coolants. |
