During our track testing, the 2009 Mercedes-Benz ML320 Bluetec diesel reached 60 mph from a dead stop in 8.5 seconds. I have an 07 CDI, MB says 215hp but 5 more hp should not make a huge difference. I find my 07 just 'ok' off the line but then really goes once around 15 and keeps that pull to 80 plus. It always seems to have plenty of kick once under way. So far I have been averaging 24.5mpg in the suburbs and best overall was 27mpg on a 700 mile stop and go weekend getaway, with steady flat highway speeds (70 to 75 seems to be the sweet spot) I have seen 30mpg. Replying to: cneff (Oct 12, 2008 12:57 pm) I have `08 ML CDI Love it!!! We use it as a "long hauler"...making 600mile trips frequently!! Range is 6-700 miles so far...and we have gotten up to 28 mpg! It has 8,500 miles and what a joy it is to drive!!! Slow?? It is not...It can run away with you if you`re not real careful!! No regrets for us! It was a good choice!!! And beautiful too!
