I just bought an 05 Colorado. I was checking the tires. They all measured 34 psi. They indicate 44 psi as the maximum. The door pillar says 34 psi. Which number should I follow? Second question is. Where is the best place to run a wire from the engine compartment to the cab? Any help would be greatly appreciated? |

The "max" pressure on the tire's sidewall idicates the maximum safe pressure that the tire will withstand, including the added air pressure it takes to seat the beads when mounting the tire on the rim. The door sticker indicates a reasonable tire pressure for normal operation. With respect for running a wire, I'd look for a rubber body plug somewhere on the cab's firewall. Most vehicles have one or two of these that can be either removed, if its a large wire, or punctured, if you need to pass a small diameter wire. |
