The driver side climate control of my 2004 chevy impala doesn't work, only code air and no heat regardless of the temp. control. I searched here and found that it might be the problem of driver side temp, actuator. Could somebody tell me how the part look like, where it is located, and how to replace it? It would be great if you have pics for that. Thanks.

Go to autozone.com and look at the how-to part or look for the part and maybe you can find it there. Goodluck.

You will need to remove the lower dash panel, and the knee bolster. The motor is bolted to the HVAC case with 3 5.5mm bolts. It is sort of rectangle shaped with 1 electrical plug.Kind of tricky to install. Laying on your back, getting the motor to slide onto the door, etc.
