2010 Key by dmathews3

I drove a 010 Equinox last week and was just thinking on the key with remote. I don't remember a way to hook on the rest of my keys to it like normal key chains. I have a setup with a quick disconect so I can hook my house keychain to either my car key remote or if driving the wifes car her car key remote. One time I didn't hook together and when I reached into my pocket and pulled out the remote I must have also got my other keys too, thinking they were hooked together. Needless to say I lost the house keys somewhere. With the Equinox key remote I can see me doing it again and don't like the setup. Also looks like it could be easy to bust off the key from the remote while in your pocket since the button to pop out the key is esposed. Anyone else who as driven the E have any opinions?

I love this car and it has more then enough power. It is fast. Have any Rav 4 owners with 4 cylinders driven the 2010 Equinox and how does the power compare?

MSRP? Invoice? by festivus

I'm looking into an LTZ 4-cyl with sunroof. Are dealers negotiating at all with these? Just wondering what kind of price I should expect to get. Before conquest cash, trade-in,and destination. Closer to invoice or closer to MSRP? I don't think that I've ever paid over Edmunds invoice, before incentives, for a vehicle.

I don't see any 2010 deals reported in a quick skim, but the Chevrolet Equinox Prices Paid and Buying Experience discussion would be the place to ask.

Check out the True Market Value too.

Nox LTZ 6cyl vs 2009 Nissan Murano LE by mandymusika

I am trying to compare these two vehicles and other than the obvious Nox costing less and not having the ipod integration, I can't find much else different (other than price). Anyone have any thoughts? I would be going with the top of the line version of either so i'm interested in the features that I might be missing out on the Nox that the Murano has and vice versa. The murano wins out on styling for me, but the Nox certainly does on price.

Thanks

Probably $500 to $1000 off the sticker price is the best you'll do right now. I used a supplier discount code which amounted to about $1000 off sticker. The dealer later found out that they couldn't combine the supplier discount with the conquest cash, but they honored the price anyway. That might not be as big a discount as some others offer, but I thought that the bottom line price compared pretty favorably to anything else in the same class of vehicle - especially on a 2010 model.

I bought an Equinox, but I also shopped the Murano and in all honesty I'd have to say that a Murano LE is overall a nicer vehicle. The two things I didn't like about the Murano were 1) the CV transmission (I like real shifts), and 2) all things being equal, I prefer to support the American economy.

As you said, Equinox has a better up front price. But, depending on how long you plan to keep the vehicle, Murano will probably hold its value much better. Bottom line: drive them both and buy the one you like best. I don't think you'll go wrong with either one.

I agree on the CV tranny. I have read it costs an arm and leg to repair one as there just isn't many around for buying rebuilt. Of course as of a year ago this was also true on the 6 speed auto. Now that they are becoming more common this should change. As with any vehicle I always get the longest extended warranty available since it costs so much now to get repairs done at $150 an hour and parts prices are so high. One out of warranty repair could easily cost as much if not more than the extended warranty. Also for everyones information I priced out a 2010 Equinox AWD LTZ $29795 with V6 $1500, 18" wheels (required)$250 blk granite metallic $195 Nav unit $2145 Trailer equip. $350 for a total with destination charge of $745 totaled at $34,980.00 My GMS price is $31,931.43 so using those figures it gives you something to shoot at. No we didn't order yet as wifes lease isn't up till Jan.

So they are offering the supplier discount on these? But only $1k off sticker? I got offered $1100 of sticker simply as an internet deal. Then I get the conquest cash. So the supplier thing is doing me any good at all.
