Hi,   I am moving to San Juan in a couple of weeks and I am interested in buying an S2000 out there. I've been looking on the internet for prices and while I know that cars are a bit more expensive in the Islands I was shocked to see an MSRP of 45k for a brand new S2000. That's 10,000 more. These guys surely can't be serious?   http://www.hondadebayamon.com/ou/bayamon-honda/index.do   Does anyone know how much the preowned (05-07) S2000's are selling for over there? Thanks. Replying to: aceninja (Sep 29, 2008 8:22 am) Unfortunately impact fees drive up the prices of new cars considerably in P.R., especially low-production niche vehicles. These impact fees also apply to used cars imported into the island by private individuals, so importing one yourself is also going to cost you. As a slight consolation, that $45k can probably be negotiated down to the low $40k's.   Used 2005 S2000's can be bought for around $20k. AP1 models (2000-2003) can be found for $14k. As cars get older, prices become more inline with mainland cars. Check out clasificadosonline.com and do a search for used S2000's. Also go to www.s2ki.com, go into the Puerto Rico forum and ask the locals for more advice. I also posted links there for calculating impact fees (arbitrios) if you're still interested.   Hope this helps.
