Let's chat about movies, and shows, old and new that have an automotive theme, or where the stars are the cars (or truck, or bikes).

Old movie from the 70s Convoy, with Kris Kristoferson, and a bunch of actors I don't know.   Long truck and car chase throughout the movie. Not too bad but the DVD quality was poor.   Also saw the Original Gone in 60 Seconds not long ago. I can watch that movie over and over and not get tired of it. I've always seen, 1963s "It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World" as a car movie, there's too much in it to ignore. For lovers of old but not classic Euro cars, National Lampoon's "European Vacation" (1984/85 IIRC) is a good one to watch.   An underrated comedy is 1985s "Moving Violations", lots of malaise junk in it, and it's funny in that 80s slapstick way.

Replying to: KarenS (Sep 23, 2008 11:37 am) I need to watch that movie again. Haven't seen it in about 10 years.   An obscure movie with some decent car racing/chasing is Fire, Ice, and Dynamite with Roger Moore   Another one about bike racing that I watched as a kid was Silver Dream Racer
