Replying to: knightairman (Sep 18, 2008 10:03 am) Agree with Nwraa & would bet it is the Mass Air Sensor. They can be carefully cleaned, but if you're going to keep the unit, replace it.

97 Lincoln Town car is slow to shift when going from 20mph to 35mph, it feels like i have to baby it into gear, the check engine light is on and the code says EGR FLOW INSUFFICIENT AND HEATED 02 SENSOR INDICATES LEAN. Will replacing the EGR fix the slow shifting, the transmission is ok after it shifts up. Thank you.
