1998 Aurora has issues

I thought I snagged a great deal. i bought a used '98 Aurora that had a few body issues, but perfect on the inside. I was having a battery drain problem and couldn't figure it out. i had the shop run a diagnostic it on it and they told me that they couldn't find the electrical problem, but did find that I had a leak in the valve covers and intake manifold leak, fuel pressure below specs. Are any of these items able to fixed by myself(shadetree mechanic)? Also teh electrical problem was also causing the exterior side lamps to flsh continuously, so pulled the fuse for them(problem fixed). Oh yeah, now the low coolant comes on about every other day, I top it off each time. Should I just scrap it and call it a learning experience? Sorry for making this so long, bt frustrated Help please, anyone!
