How do you open the tailgate when the door handle won,t work ? 2003 tracker 4 dr. hardtop. Thanks Jim

I have broken the outside door handle off and woundering if there was anyone who know how or who knew of a place I could find out how to do this repair. I have yet to take off the interior door panel. I would like to have a little knoledge before jumping into this. Any help would be appricated.
