My '08 Cobalt with 6K highways miles has noisy plastic wheelcovers that rattle over low-speed bumps, audible with the windows down. Any fix? If I'd have known this, I'd have sprung for aluminum wheels instead.

Thanks,
Bill

Pull the middle round cover off to access the lug nuts. You will discover (if this is like my old Century) that plastic nuts hold the wheel on the steel lug nuts. If the plastic nut is loose the wheel will rattle. If you tighten the plastic nut be careful or you will break it. I replaced the ones in the Century. Over time they become brittle and break. Yours sound like one or more are loose.
