#1 of 3 How do I know what warranty do I have by jjdam

Sep 11, 2008 (9:36 pm)

I just purchased a 05 liberty, I'm the third owner. The car has about 54000 miles on it, how do I know is there any warranty on it? Where can I get this kind of information. Thanks .

should have 7 year - 70k powertrain warranty unless it's not transferrable. Ask a dealer.

#3 of 3 Ignition switch/Steering column connected problems by riclibo5

In order to fix the ignition switch, they need to replace the steering column. However, at first they told me it was not covered.(Steering column) Then they said they would cover it. There's a hundred dollar deductible for each thing. The warranty says Components not listed are not covered unless required as a direct result of the failure of a covered component. They gave me a car for 2 days but the warranty says-0--The plan will not pay for rental charges for a vehicle that is awaiting service or parts unless the vehicle is inoperable do to a mechanical failure of a covered component... Anybody have any experience getting them to honor the 5 day rental. It turns out, they can't find any steering columns and don't know of a date. So I am just stuck. Let me know what you guys thinks.
