I have a 99 Navigator. I think its time to replace the front and rear shocks. Can I replace the front air shocks with regular shocks and replace the rear regular shocks leaving the air bags and air suspension intact? I replaced the air bags last year and I know that the rear has regular shocks and the air bags. When the time comes I will replace the air bags with coil springs, but not yet. If this is possible, would it be expensive to do?

I am in the middle of diagnosing an air suspension issue with my Lincoln navigator. I figured out that I have a bad compressor relay by bypassing it using a copper wire on the relay plug. The compressor comes right on and begins to raise the front end only it appears. The back is just sitting there on the stops. Will the front raise first and then the back or is there a different issue I should be looking for? Help please! |
