Block heater for Outlander XLS

I was wondering if you guys know if there are any available engine block heaters for the 2008 Outlander. The Mitsu dealership where I bought my XLS told me that there are no block heaters available since the MIVEC engine doesn't need one. Can any of you shed any light on this comment?
