does anyone ENJOY the sun stomping down on their head while they drive?

LOL. I'm with ya! I've asked several people what they use them for. The only decent answer I got was that it cooled the car-off faster.

So I'm not the only one that see's a hole in the roof as a negative or neutral, at best. Why do I want glare from the sun? Oh, I see you don't actually open that thing...

It's funny that everyone seems to want these headroom robbing things, but they never or rarely actually use them and even when they do, it is only for a little ventillation, y'know open it maybe an inch or two...well, while a little roof vent might be okay, I think I will make do with the four side vents, rather than have a 3 foot hole in the roof and no head room.

I remember test driving a Saturn coupe when they first came out and it had a sunroof. I'm only 5'10" but my hair(had more then) was scraping the ceiling. I was shocked. My 1996 Maxima had a sunroof(which I didn't really want) but I got such a great deal I couldn't pass on it. Well, I used that sunroof maybe 3 or 4 times in 7 years. We have an Infiniti SUV and rarely use the sunroof. All I notice is that we get a lot of wind noise around the wind deflector.

Bottom line, I would never pay extra but if I can get a great deal on a car already so equipped I'll take it. The resale value increase a little I guess.

Ever drive at night? As long as it's not hot enough to need the A/C, my moonroof is open. Any temperature between 50-80 degrees is great with the roof open. I can have only the roof open, and get good air circulation, without the wind blowing like when there's a window open. People who have long hair would appreciate this, I think. When I bought my first Accord EX, I was reluctant to go with the EX, because older cars with sunroofs leaked. Well this roof never leaked, and I never had any problems with it. I wanted the moonroof on the next Accord. To each his own, I guess.

Just the fact that someone can even think Toyota's ugly tacky body kits look good really says a lot about their style.

And the sad fact that you're serious when you say that shows how much credibility you are due here. If you don't realize that different designs appeal to different people, then you've got a long way to go. Personally, I can't stand the front end of the Honda CR-V, but it is the best-selling Crossover Vehicle on the market, something it couldn't say UNTIL that redesign. Apparently *gasp* everybody doesn't share the same taste in automotive design. It is time that gets recognized and respected, I believe.

I use my sunroof all the time! Even in the hottest of weather, with the AC on. I love it! I will use it til I cannot possibly do it, when it is too cold. My roof is nice, because it does not blow any air into the cabin. I love having it open at night, the other night the moon was shining bright, and it was so nice to have the moon shine in on me. I am a huge fan on the sunroof, some are not. For me, having one in my car is a big issue.

Some cars are getting fancy, and putting a big glass roof in, I love that! If I had a convertable hard top, I would have it down all the time!

I'm with you on the moonroof thing! I love 'em. They're great when you don't want your hair messed up but want some fresh air blowing through. These fall nights in Alabama are PERFECT sunroof weather. Soon, the winter days will be sunroof days, and I'm ready for them!

As far as headroom goes, I'm 6'5" (admittedly, long legged) and it isn't a problem for me in the Accord or Civic sedans, in fact, I can adjust my seat in my 06 Accord to nearly the highest position before I start getting too close to the roof. And no, I don't lean back in my seat like a lot of people my age (21) like to do; I can't stand that feeling - almost like I'm out of control.

I don't think the new CRV is the best thing since slice bread, but it looks much better than the previous model. Oh well.

A lot of people like the new Altima's looks, but I think all Nissans have that same round roof, round hood, droopy look. They all look like they're sagging. Everyone has his/her own taste.

Alabama winters can range anywhere from fairly cold (50 degrees and below) to icy (20ish on bad days) but most of the time it's pretty mild. I remember last year there were days during winter where it was above 50 degrees and I was wearing shorts.

Anyway, in response to the moonroof thing, I don't think I will ever be able to get a car that doesn't have a moonroof ever again. I was spoiled by it in my old Solara, and now I'm spoiled by an even better one in my '08 Altima! You've just got to love having a constant stream of fresh air in your cabin. It's very serene feeling at night.
