U R Gr8! I appreciate your info. I printed your instructions and sent my 18 yr old son under the suv to check it out. It took him a while to find the hole and yes he did need that mirror. He found the hole and said the wire went in left and also to the right but he couldnt get it to go in far either way.....so I didn't get to see him get soaked with water.did you have to go straight up with that wire or did you see 2 areas to go left or right? it's an 04 endeavor. we didnt have to put it on a jack since the SUV sits high off the ground. is it possible that hole is not clogged so I might have another problem? or do I need to drill a hole in the bottom of my truck? I'm desperate at this point.....

Estimate from the best AC people to fix is $953. He says bad Mitsubishi design. They used a foam material in the evaporator and it deteriorates in 3 to 5 years. Only fix is pull the dash and replace. GM uses a rubber sponge which never has a problem. This really sucks.

sounds like you have a leak from the body area not the a/c, whole different animal.
could be a body seam could be a w/shield leak , sunroof ?
the a/c will leak if there is a lot of moisture in the air and you use either the a/c of the defrosters ( both activate the compressor) if it is only in the rain than i would look in a different direction

I agree. I use my AC all the time since it's really hot here in florida and I get no leaks. I even pulled up the carpeting and the foam under it to see if it leaks when the AC is on and it doesnt. Only when it rains then the water gathers in the front passenger side where there is a dip for water settling......I'm not sure what it's for but the space under there is large enough to hold a gallon of water and I heard it slushing around so I got fed up and pulled it up and it was full of water. I believe there is mold in my truck from this water staying in the car and I had to go to the eye specialist for a year and they had no idea why my eyes were hurting and now I know. The mold in my car because of the water. That design flaw in the truck is what caused the problem and I shouldnt have to pay $90 per hour to get it fixed. That's the quote I got from the dealer to find the problem. I smell a class action suit. Anyone else has a design flaw like this? I think the manufacturers should do a recall and fix this. I already paid to repaint because they used very little clear coat on the truck and it started peeling after 4 years which should not happen. Poor workmanship based on saving money.

Thanks for the help. I poked right behind the hole in the firewall with some wire and was able to get it to drain. Test ride didn't have the water hitting the fan around turns either.

I have the same problem where water collects on the driver's side floor. I have pulled up the carpet so many times, the foam pads have all ripped off, but I have finally found where the water is coming from. The dealer said there is a manufacturer statement about the problem but like everyone else said it costs about $900 to fix it, with a $5 dromet that gets debris in it then the water has nowhere to go but back into the car. I found the hole stuck a wire in there and it felt like I went through something but the water is still coming in. My question is do you know how far I can stick the wire in, and is there anything that can be damaged by the wire?
