A DX? Thought those had black handles/moulding (like my car has black moulding). Is yours a Value Package/Special Edition of some kind, or a repaint?

"However, although I am a fan of Honda products in general, I am disappointed to read so many posts about issues/problems that have plagued Honda's cars through the years: road noise; brakes and transmission failures; uncomfortable seats. One would think that by now Honda would have found ways to resolve these problems consistently."
Some people don't have a problem with the road noise (adds to the feel), don't have problems with the brakes, don't have transmission failures, and like the firm seats. Not saying the Accord is perfect, but it's as close (to me) as any car I've driven.

thegraduate..... I pulled the window sticker out of my file and it's listed as a 1996 Accord 4DR Value Package. It lists among the value package items body colored protective side moldings, body colored collapsible door mirrors, and body colored exterior door handles. I never realized these weren't standard for the DX. It list total vehicle price as $17,390, but again it was a loss leader add for $13,900. It was the first time I had bought a car off a loss leader add. I showed up 15 minutes before the dealership opened and there was already one other person ahead me. They had two at this price so we both got one.

Wow, thanks for going to all that trouble; and I'm glad you're still enjoying your Accord after all these years!
