A few days ago, my Service Engine Soon light came on and within hours I started having issues. At first, I thought it was transmission related. It seems if I just barely touch the gas, it goes straight to passing gear. When I put it in park, it idles at 2500 - 3000rpm. I took it to a national transmission place (honk twice) because I originally thought it was slipping. That checked out fine and had no symptoms for about 3 days. The Service Engine Light even went out. Had fuel system flushed 4 days ago and symptoms reappeared yesterday. Gas mileage is going in the tank.    Any ideas? And does it sound like something that would be covered under warranty. Replying to: grimachi (Aug 29, 2008 12:58 pm) I can only guess, but it may be something to do with Throttle Position Sensor or related system. I think the transmission is just reacting to whats going on with engine. You may be able to get an ide by having it scanned at somewhere like autozone for codes on the SES light. Replying to: ray80 (Aug 30, 2008 5:37 am) Appreciate the response. Last night while driving home I took my foot off the gas when I hit 40mph and it hit 50mph before I applied the break...NO CRUISE CONTROL on pretty level pavement. Just frustrating.
