I have owned my vehichle for five mo now and it seems to continually be in the shop. Two weeks ago the check engine light came on. When I took it in they tried to tell it I owed $49 to reset the light and that my state inspection was up, which was around $80 to do. I refused to pay the light reset for two reasons, 1) they said it was likely just due to the gas cap not on tight. I havean OBSESSION about putting the cap on the waiting to hear 3 clicks..always. But even on somebody's car that this might apply I don't feel there should be any charge on a new car to turn off the light. I also questioned how a car I ordered than came to me brand-new had an inspection that was up in four months. After a lot of headaches I went to the original dealership where I got the vehicle that was out-of-town. It took my whole day there but they did the inspection free of charge. There was a cracked cap in the transmission that was causing a leak so it needed fixed to pass anyway. This they did free of charge-warrany covered. When we first got the car we noticed it pulled to the side. We waited a couple of months to see if it got better but it didn't. It had to go in for that. Then the piece that covers the mechanism on the rear wiper came off, back in for that.

I didn't get the Volkswagen because it had so many quirks according to owners. I really don't feel I got the $41K car I'm paying for. The roof is fun but the sync isn't compatible with palm phones so I don't use it. I think there are better CUVs out there right now for your money.

I bought my Ford Edge only to find out later, after several trips back to the dealership that it had been wrecked. They now acknowledge that it had been wrecked and we are in discussions as to how best to correct the issue, but they are not willing to do the right thing, why should consumers be forced into debt with attorneys in order to get dealerships to abide by the laws!! They have more money and we do and can drag it out until you are broke. Not fair!

HI, pLEASE READ MY POST IN THE NAV FORUM.. (Sorry for the caps). Ford is winning these awards in the media, but reading these forums sounds like its the same old American cave man crap. I do not want to buy another Honda Pilot but can not find an American car that has been as trouble free
