"The Genesis has a huge trunk with 15.9 cubic feet of space"

I'm sorry, but 16 ft^3 is in no way, shape, or form a "huge" trunk for a vehicle of this size and mass. The fact that the Lexus has only 13 ft^3 is pitiful. But a 20-year-old Mazda 626 that's more than a foot shorter and more than a half-ton lighter has a trunk the same size as the Hyundai--the Genesis needs closer to 20 ft^3 to be considered impressive, or even adequate.

Cars are not being designed with trunk space. Anything practical in that sense is a wagon these days, or a hatch. The Lexus is reliable, and has a very big customer base. www.lexusenglewood.com

Agree, trunk space is not a concern for most people these days. A lot of the trunk space is being given over to back seat room, which more people care about.
BTW, I was in the Army Reserves for many years and would go on three week assignments. Had to take uniforms, field gear and reference materials and work materials PLUS civilian clothes for the duration. Got it all in Datsun B210, Fiat 124 Sport Spyder, Nissan 330ZX and Mazda RX7 convertible.
People who want a lot of "space" to carry stuff buy SUV's for the most part.
