Hi Adamjmank,
where did you watch the AD?

Is that available online?

I thought Hyundai had a method behind this madness of targeting the luxury segment.
going after the sports luxury segment is unbelievable.

I need to watch the AD

It was on ABC.
It says the new Genesis is faster than the Porshe boxter and reaches 0-60 in under 5.7 sec.

no mention of any of its competitors ( Maxima, C300 and Avalon)-Like when they launched the current sonata model they were comparing with the Camry and Accord

Yeah I remember that Ad they stopped short of showing a Camry falling off a Bridge.

Although they targeted Camry specifically camry being the market leader in midsize sedans they ended up a distant fourth or fifth behind camry , accord, altima, taurus in sales and appeal.

Lets see where they end up now.

Didnt I mention This in my prior Post

"you are right , the model i compared has a 3.5 engine.
Its the engine displacements which are identical 3.78 in C300 vs 3.8 in the hyundai's"

I wonder If you even Read This

I mentioned clearly the word "Displacement"

For the last time, you are comparing apples to oranges, Hyundai's 3.8L displacement is measured in cc, as in cubic centimeter - 3,778, while the same method of measurement results in Chrysler's 3.5L at 3,518 cc. Big difference there.

Here is what you did - comparing cubic centimeters to inches, which yes, the Chrysler's 3.5L is 3.78 inches, but the two measurements are not interchangeable. Hyundai's 3.8L when you actually convert to inches, on the same basis as the figure you've been advertising re: Chrysler, is nowhere near the 3.8. Got it?

Bottom line, displacement size for 3.5L Chrysler and Toyota/Lexus (for example) are similar; but much different on both vs. the 3.8L Hyundai engine. Even if the 3.8L and 3.5L were somehow similar, so?
